Women Connecting to Community
We all want to belong at some level. We look around and see our differences and it’s easy to compare, to judge, to isolate, or even try to one up each other. We casually show up to events to fit in just enough so we don’t stand out. But true belonging is not passive. It’s not just about fitting in or joining a group.
Belonging is a practice that requires us to learn how to be present with people without sacrificing who we are. Jesus did that. He was with people and he engaged them in their story, no matter how plain or messy it was.
This summer, LifeBridge is hosting two different events for women to practice belonging. The first one on Tuesday, June 26 will allow us to worship together. Through this experience we hope you find a sense of an awesome powerful God who loves you more than you realize. The second event on Saturday, Aug. 25 is designed specifically to help women learn what true belonging looks like. At the Belong event, women will walk away with a plan for personal rhythms, hear about how to overcome feelings of guilt and loneliness, and how to stay connected to community.
