FEED ONE
Feb 14th
Did you know? One in eight Americans live in food insecure households. (Source: Feeding America)
Millions of Americans—including millions of children, live in households experiencing hunger. In our community, thousands of people are struggling to have enough food. Don’t be paralyzed by the magnitude of the problem. Just because you can’t help everyone doesn’t mean you can’t help someone. Use this bag to help just one family, person, or child.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Get several “FEED ONE” bags (4 bags = $5).
- Pray for the neighbors you will ask to join you in this food drive.
- Ask your neighbors to join you and give them a bag (1 per household).
- Keep 1 bag and fill it w/ nonperishable food.
- Invite your neighbors to dinner–have them bring their filled bags with them.
- Optional: Take a picture of all you collected w/ your neighbors
- and email it to webmaster@lbcc.org.
- Put the food in boxes–your neighbors can keep their bag.
- Bring the boxes of food to the church.
- Check results on www.lbcc.org/feedone.
- Share the results with your neighbors.
Cash donations are also accepted. Please make checks payable to LifeBridge Christian Church, and include “Feed One” on the memo line. Your donation is tax-deductible. 100% of the net proceeds will go directly to local food banks.
