The conference will be held on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, at the LifeBridge Fellowship Center.

Society today preaches negative aging—that life after 50 is all downhill. The Vibrance Conference 2011 is designed to help create a counter-cultural image of maturing by looking at the biblical viewpoint: God’s design for aging. We want to help answer the ‘Big Question’: “Sure, I can live longer, but can I live better?” The Vibrance Conference will help you embrace your second half of life as a God ordained season, and challenge you to answer that ‘Big Question’ with an emphatic “yes!” You will be validated in this season of your life and learn that you can be more vital and alive in your second half. Instead of spending your next few years planning for a downhill slide, you will learn how you can actually be ramping up to heaven!

Keynote speaker, Amy Hanson, and the workshop leaders will provide empowering principles and practical tools you can use for a second half life of significance. You will be motivated to find greater purpose and passion in what you do, making the rest of your life the best of your life with and for the Lord!

The Vibrance Conference will feature an extended schedule allowing inspirational teaching, meaningful worship, practical workshops, great fellowship, and a fun and helpful Expo–that’s Vibrance 2011!

Amy Hanson says in her new book, “Baby Boomers and Beyond,” “Now is the time to unleash older adults to live out their God-given purpose.” Come alone, come with your spouse, or a friend, or a group, but definitely do come to Vibrance Conference 2011. Cost: Pre-registration (by April 4) $25 Friday only $10; Saturday only $15; Registration (after April 4) $30, Friday only $12; Saturday only $18. Register online at www.lbcc.org/events. LifeBridge Christian Church is located at 10345 Ute Highway, Longmont, CO 80504. For information about the conference, contact Paul Stetler, 303-776-2927, ext. 278.

Longmont, CO, August 23, 2010—the Adults 50 & Better Ministry at LifeBridge announces, “Elvis Goes Gospel,” a benefit concert at LifeBridge Christian Church, on Friday, September 10, at 7:30 p.m. The Concert will feature Elvis Tribute Artist, Steve Creason.

Steve has been an Elvis Tribute Artist for 15 years, and has performed in Colorado; Washington; New Mexico; Wyoming; Branson, Missouri; and at the Grand Ole Opry Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

“There are so many things that Elvis and I have in common—one of them is Southern Gospel music,” shared Steve.

Steve always wanted to be a Gospel singer and would spend many hours traveling with the group, The Quarts, just singing Gospel. “For many years I’ve dreamed of singing Gospel songs, and in my heart I have asked God how I could use this gift he gave me of singing and doing Elvis for His glory. In the past two years God has started opening doors for me to do just that. To show the Gospel side of Elvis to people and show how much Gospel music influenced him and his life, is a way that I hope God can use me for His glory,” said Steve.

“Elvis” will be accompanied by the Wurlitzer 45 Band, a Denver-based band that plays 50’s and 60’s music. Many people are not aware of the Gospel music part of Elvis’ life. He had a real passion for Gospel music, and Steve Creason will showcase that aspect of Elvis’ heart.

There is no admission charge for the concert, but a free-will offering will be collected to benefit the Cookson Hills Christian Children’s Home in Kansas, Oklahoma. Cookson Hills provides a home, help, hope, and healing for children in need. Facilities are located in Northeastern Oklahoma on 1,000 acres of beautiful, rolling hills. Family units are composed of a married couple, their children, and placed children. On-campus vocational training is a part of the school program available in grades 7-12. A Christian School for K-12 is provided on campus with state certified teachers. The ministry relies solely on the support of churches such as LifeBridge Christian Church, and individuals who believe in the work being done at Cookson Hills. The Seniors’ Ministry at LifeBridge has partnered with Cookson Hills every October for several years now helping with work projects in week-long mission trips.

For further information regarding the concert, call LifeBridge Christian Church, 303-776-2927. The concert will be held in the LifeBridge Auditorium, 10345 Ute Highway, Longmont.
