Externally Focused Ministries

Is “missions” something that is done in faraway or at a local shelter? Is it reaching someone in a different country or can it be reaching your neighbor? We believe it is all of that. It is global and local. We consider local and global missions to be all one effort that we call “Glocal: Externally Focused Ministries.”

“Glocal” is the combination of local and global missions into one. When Jesus commissioned us to be his witnesses in “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8), he showed that he wanted us to live on mission anywhere and everywhere. Glocal externally-focused ministries recognizes that what we do “across the street,” “across the tracks,” “across the nations,” and “across the seas,” can work together to grow God’s Kingdom.
