The Story: Ch. 4 Deliverance

When ‘life’ happens, we can feel trapped. Pressured by our past, paralyzed by our present, and fearful of our future, we end up stuck. The Hebrew nation was in this situation when God’s man – Moses – showed up on the scene. This week in GROW we discuss the characteristics of God we see displayed as He delivered His people from slavery. The session began with a discussion about times we’ve felt under-qualified. The audio below picks up at the conclusion of that discussion.

The Story: Ch. 2 God Builds a Nation

Any relationship takes work – on both sides. As we continue to read in Genesis (and Chapter 2 of The Story) we see God outlining the ‘work’ necessary to keep the relationship alive. He promises to do amazing things through a guy named Abraham. All he asks for in return is faith. Today’s discussion digs into why we struggle with faith, and how God’s interaction with Abraham and his family reveal God’s heart.
