The LifeSports Ministry at LifeBridge serves the greater Longmont area by cultivating community through sports and fitness for participants from ages three to 80+. LifeSports provides fitness classes, sports leagues, tournaments, instructional summer camps, and other recreational events that are open to the public, and led by qualified and caring individuals who wish to share their passion for their sport within the LifeSports community.
Zumba Dance: Zumba Dance mixes effective body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow, fun dance steps, maximizing caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning, led by a certified Zumba instructor. The Studio was established to bring exceptional dance instruction to the Northern Colorado Area. The Studio Outreach at LifeBridge Christian Church offers Ballet to students 3 through 10 years old. Classes are designed to provide challenge and inspiration for the beginner to the most seasoned dancer. Our purpose is to provide students of all ages with the skills they need to enjoy dance and music for a lifetime. We want our entire student population to come away from lessons fully equipped with strong training from qualified instructors. Fit 4 Life offers a friendly, low-impact workout that includes flexibility, stretching, and light weights, designed specifically for seniors! Join your LifeSports senior fitness instructor in a fun workout set to good music. Once you try it, you’ll be hooked! Class is FREE. Every Monday and Friday at 9 a.m.
Leagues: Leagues are fun and competitive with an emphasis on sportsmanship and community. Leagues play in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. Leagues available: Men’s Basketball, Men’s Softball, Women’s Volleyball, and Coed Volleyball. Register as a free agent or bring a team. Cost varies per league. Sports Leagues Registration Information: All Participants must have a signed medical release on file. Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian complete and sign a Youth/Child/Minor Medical Release. Players must meet age requirements and a picture ID may be required. LifeSports reserves the right to appropriately place teams and individuals and regulate team rosters.
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading – Every Child Plays. Every Child Learns. Every Child is a Winner!: Upward Sports Recreation Programs offer opportunities for young athletes to discover and refine their athletic skills while cultivating a passion for the sport. Through age-appropriate team play, athletes begin to build positive character traits that will allow them to encourage, strengthen, and motivate themselves and their fellow teammates. As they learn and follow game rules, young athletes will also learn the value of sportsmanship with a healthy competitive spirit.
2016 Upward Basketball and Cheer at LifeBridge:
- Earlybird Registration, September 1 through October 31 is $100 per child. November 1–14, is $115 per child.
- All uniform pieces are included in the registration fee and belong to the participants. Basketball uniform includes reversible shorts and jersey, and a T-shirt. Cheerleader uniforms include a vest, skort, and mock turtleneck.
- Everyone must attend the Evaluation/Orientation and uniform sizing on either Friday, November 13, anytime between 5:30-8 p.m., or Saturday, November 14, anytime between 9-11:30 a.m.
- First practice begins the week of January 5
- First game is Saturday, January 30
- Season ending Awards Celebration for players, parents and fans is Monday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Each year, young athletes in Upward Sports Leagues are excited to receive new uniforms. As league directors, we know that parents, coaches, and players love them too, because every year, one of our most frequently asked questions is “What are my uniform colors?” In 2016, we’ll be wearing Gold and Navy!
