The Closet – A Free Store for Single Parent Families
The Closet offers clothes and shoes for men, women, and children, as well as some household items. All items are free to single parents and their children. Customers are welcome to shop once a week at The Closet, but there is a limit of 10 items per visit (bags are provided). To shop at The Closet you must obtain a Closet Passport Card, which you can obtain by contacting the church.
Location and Hours
The Closet is located on Highway 66, between Francis Street and Gay Street, on the north side of the road in a white barn behind two brown farm houses.
- Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m.
- Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m.
- Periodic Closures: March 2017 – this month closure will allow The Closet to be reorganized and seasonal clothing switched out.
- Holidays hours of operation may vary. (Please call for summer hours.)
About the Program
The Closet is a Pearl Group program. All items at The Closet are donated, and we are thankful to all who donate to create a wonderful resource for single parents in our community. If you have any items that you would like to donate we gladly accept donations during our open hours. This is the only time we are able to take in donations.
The Closet is run entirely by volunteers, who a wonderfully dedicated group of individuals who serve quietly and diligently.
