About LifeBridge

What started as a small group meeting to study the Bible and pray for their friends eventually took action to become one of the first churches in Longmont on July 5, 1891. Having grown beyond their original city block on Coffman Street, the church relocated to its current location on Highway 66 in 1991.

In 1995, exponential growth led to a major building expansion — and a shift in identity. The church began transitioning from an primarily attractional model to an externally focused one, and in 1999, First Christian Church became LifeBridge Christian Church.

Over the years, LifeBridge has always been about leading people in their next step toward Jesus. Beyond the weekend experience, people connect through Rooted groups, community-serving opportunities, and a wide range of ministry programs. You’ll find a welcoming place centered around helping people grow closer to Jesus’ love, hope, and grace.

Today

LifeBridge is busting at the seams — in the best possible way.

We recently completed a building fund initiative and have moved to three services to keep up with the growth. Story after story of people coming to know Jesus for the first time keeps coming in. Over 300 people have been baptized in 2025 alone. New families are walking through the doors. New life is everywhere you look. God is clearly at work.

We are deeply grateful for the faithful men and women who built this church over the past 130 years — their prayers, sacrifice, and obedience laid the foundation for everything we see today. And we are beyond excited for what God has in store for the next 100 years.

The best is still to come.

Location

“Longmont is a great place to live and work, as it offers a good mix of year-round outdoor activities, a strong sense of community, excellent schools, and proximity to larger cities like Boulder, Fort Collins, and Denver. Despite the area expanding rapidly, with many younger families relocating here, it somehow has maintained a smaller town feel. With easy access to the Rocky Mountains, there are endless opportunities for having fun after work and on weekends!”

Mission & Values

Mission: We exist to introduce people to Jesus and lead them in their next step with Him.

  • Health | Go For the Bronze: We will pursue healthy relationships before ministry by personally prioritizing Jesus first, our families second, and LifeBridge third. Jesus gets the gold, our families get the silver, LifeBridge gets the bronze.
  • Teamwork | Row In The Same Direction: We will work as a team, knowing that we will go farther working together in the same direction that we will as individuals working in multiple directions.
  • Risk | Get Out Of The Boat: We will take action and strategic risks in order to move the mission forward. We are not afraid of failure, we learn from failure today so that we can take better risks tomorrow.
  • Excellence | Make It Better: We will always go out of our way to make our environments and experiences better in order to give people a glimpse of heaven.
  • Development | Plant A Forest: We will plant trees that we may never enjoy the shade of by developing, investing in, and empowering people.
  • Honor | Over Ego: We will exclusively use our influence to build into and protect each other by honoring our teammates in every direction. (1 Peter 2:15-17)

STatement of beliefs

What we believe is rooted in the truth of the Bible. These convictions shape our teaching, our culture, and the direction of everything we do as a church. And while these beliefs fuel all that we are, everyone is welcome at LifeBridge — no matter where you are or what you believe. We hold these convictions with both confidence and humility, and we consider it a joy to engage in meaningful conversation with any attenders of LifeBridge who are seeking to learn more.

As a staff member at LifeBridge, we ask that you share alignment with our statement of beliefs. What we believe is rooted in the truth of the Bible, and these convictions shape our teaching, our culture, and the direction of everything we do as a church. We deeply care about this alignment — not as a barrier, but because we know that when we’re not on the same page with these core convictions, it becomes difficult for both the individual and the team to truly flourish.
