Revelation 21:3-7 NLT
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, "Look, God's home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. And the one sitting on the throne said, "Look, I am making everything new!" And then he said, "It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega – the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.

You have that to look forward to if you choose life. If you put your faith in Jesus and follow Him.

Maybe you’ve been around people who’ve made repentance feel heavy—like something meant to weigh you down with guilt or shame.
Let’s be clear: that’s not what repentance is.
True biblical repentance is one of the most gracious gifts God has given us. It simply means “to turn.” Turn from sin. Turn back to God. Turn to Jesus.
Victim culture is a trap that keeps us from this gift.
Here’s how it works: if I’m always the victim, I never have to repent. If everything wrong in my life is someone else’s fault, I never have to look at my own heart.
Victimhood culture is designed to keep you from experiencing the victory that’s yours in Christ.
You are free because of the victory over sin that’s only found in Jesus. Repentance is the victory march. Repentance is the Homecoming Parade.

Be more concerned about what God will say to you when you arrive than what people will say about you when you’re gone.

That’s living with Heaven in mind.

Legacy is a great thing…but do we put too much emphasis on it?

Focusing on glorifying God and being Heaven-minded…that’ll take care of legacy for you.

C.S. Lewis said, “If you read history, you will find that the Christians who did the most for the present world were just those who thought the most of the next.”

Be more concerned about what God will say to you when you arrive than what people will say about you when you’re gone.

The Parable of the Lost Son
11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.

13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

The truth about Hell is taught so that we’d look in the mirror.
Am I rejecting Jesus?
Do I really know who He is?
Am I ignoring God?

The truth about Hell is taught so that we’d seek the truth about God…to know Him, to know His character…to listen to His voice…its taught so that we follow Jesus now while we have the choice. Jesus is not fire insurance…He is the treasure.
